As spring comes in to full swing here in Texas, we have a lot of new beginnings. The bluebonnets are blooming, our air conditioners are blasting and in Houston, we are preparing for OPTIMIZE 2019. Our global conference is a great opportunity to see our customers, products and partners in action. Version 11 of aspenONE is generally available and our growing Asset Performance Management business is growing -- we have not only new products and applications to share at OPTIMIZE but also new customers and partners.
We’ll also share information about our revamped partner program. While AspenTech has worked with trusted partners to augment out offerings for years, we have a fresh start with new team members and a new certification program coming soon. Rob Minaglia joined us in January as VP of Partners and Alliances. We’ve already implemented many of his ideas to expand and enhance the ways we support our partners – in the last few months we published our first partner newsletter and cosponsored an event in South Africa with BluESP. A joint webinar with Glanbia and OrbisMES took place earlier this week.
During the OPTIMIZE conference, Rob will host a special reception for partners where he will cover his vision for AspenTech’s partner ecosystem – including resellers, industrial alliances, implementation service providers (ISPs), advisory/business consultants and OEMs. Our efforts to formalize the Partner Program will ensure a consistent strategy so our collective ‘we’ can execute within a common framework. The partner team is working together to provide our customers with a world-class partner network to support their business goals.
The Emerson - AspenTech Alliance offers a great example of how the partner program is building momentum. In late 2018 the Alliance launched its first OEM product, the HYSYS®/Mimic digital twin. Now Emerson has signed on to sponsor OPTIMIZE, where customers can see a live demo of this technology. Tom Snead, President of Life Sciences and Alliances for Emerson Automation Solutions, will join the keynote panel discussion on digital acceleration, moderated by Tracey Countryman of Accenture.
In addition, Ronnie Bains, Emerson’s Director of Process Simulation in Europe will present on digital twin technology – how it is developed and applied to activities through different project and operational phases of an asset, ensuring safe and efficient start-up and stay-up. He will also discuss how the digital twin can incorporate virtual reality to provide a valuable tool for integrated operations, resulting in a positive return on investment prior to start-up.
This spring in Houston we have a lot of new beginnings, new relationships, and new projects to share - join us at #OPTIMIZE2019 to learn more!
