To make better reservoir management decisions, workflows covering the entire geosciences and reservoir engineering domains are customarily used. Facies modeling is an important part of these workflows, as it defines the main flow pattern in the reservoir and represents a geological understanding of the depositional environment.
This paper applies an object model to a North Sea reservoir, demonstrating that object models are able to handle real-world data complexity.
