Rob leads a large team of account managers, solution consultants and technical experts who work with customers to optimize asset performance and profitability across the engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and maintenance business processes.

Rob has 35 years of world-wide experience in the oil and gas, refining, chemical and polymer industries, and he is a specialist in improving plant operations through the application of AspenTech’s integrated aspenONE^® solutions. He began his career with ExxonMobil at their Durban Refinery in South Africa, where he held senior operating and technical positions over a 10-year period before joining AspenTech. 

During his 25 years with AspenTech, Rob has led consulting engagements with most of the world’s largest energy and chemical companies and has become a trusted advisor to industry executives. He has held senior technical and leadership positions in the Professional Services and Business Consulting groups across Europe and the MENA regions. He recently led the APAC Regional Operations function for four years (based in Singapore) before being appointed to his current role in 2018. 

Rob is a passionate chemical engineer, a registered Professional Engineer and Fellow of the UK Institute of Chemical Engineers.
