John Koumoutsakis joined AspenTech over eighteen years ago and today serves as Senior Vice President, Global Sales. John brings over 25 years of leadership experience and is responsible for helping to define, lead and implement strategy and innovation to respond to emerging industry trends. 
 
John supports many major energy companies holding relationships at the highest level within the CXO.  He leads a team of industry professionals to develop solutions and tools that solve real world issues throughout the industry as it undertakes global, digital transformation initiatives.
 
Since joining AspenTech in 2001, John has held progressive sales and sales leadership positions spanning global markets and responsibilities. Prior to joining AspenTech, John spent seven years at software company Invensys which was taken over by Schneider Electric in 2013. Invensys Ltd. was a multinational engineering and information technology company headquartered in London, UK.
